This web page is dedicated to all of our ancestors; whether they came from England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany or parts unknown.  As a young one, I was fortunate to know my Great-Grandparents from my father's family and my Grandparents of both parents. Of course, I didn't even think to ask them about their families or relatives.  That came much, much, later in my life when I was struck by the urge  to discover my family history and the Internet opened more doors than I care to remember. 

My effort to research this family began in August 1999, and it started with a conversation with my oldest living family member, my Great Aunt Lela.  What began with a two page listing by Lela, has grown into a major effort between myself and numerous other folks.  By exchanging information with others, this research has expanded from 50+ names to over 8,000; and the changes keep coming.

I am indebted to the research and information provided by Lela Jackson, Dr. John Duckworth, Rod Medders, Don Collins, Jean Winstead, Linda Vestal, Bob Wilson, Ferdinand Carson and many others.  If I've omitted your name, please do not take offense.  I will update this site and its pages as new and revised information becomes available.  It is my intent to perhaps one day publish this research. The complete data I've uploaded on RootsWeb, (directions to the database is provided on the Reports page). 

I suspect this effort will continue for my remaining years and hopefully I can pass it along to younger generations.  Please note that not all of the data has been proven as fact.  I suggest that you check the sources I've listed and attempt to verify any others.  Please feel free to contact me concerning any information, listing, or possible objections.  All will be replied to as soon as possible.
